Those bobbers and lures in the tree branches are there for catching flying fish. Geez, I thought everyone knew that!
Love this picture because it reminds me of where my Grandfather & I used to fish. That's where most of my bobbers and lures went...up into the tree branches.
Grampy (that's what I called my Grandfather) gave me his fishing tackle box with all sorts of bobbers and lures. I keep it in a very special place. Thanks for the happy memories, Randy.
Thanks Pam. It's not a very good photograph, but if I make it to 365 there are bound to be lot's of duds in the mix. Like you though it's the story within the photo (not the photo itself) that I liked. Why is there so much fishing tackle hanging in the trees above this mud puddle sized inlet? As I clicked the photo (trying to get all the bobbers and the surface of the water within the frame) I could imagine large fish circling in the muddy lagoon, and cuss words swirling in the air above, as mischievous branches reached down to snatch fishing lines from agitated anglers.
I would’ve never dreamed there might be fish here if I hadn’t looked up in the trees.
ReplyDeleteI don’t know if this is a good fishing hole or not, but it’s definitely a favorite spot for unskilled casters.
