365 of 365 ~ the end

  1. Congratulations, Randy. You did it!

You not only captured some great shots, but you got me writing each day for 365 days by doing this photo project.

I got a little teary-eyed when "the end" appeared as your last photo for 2011 until I read lightly's comment, then I laughed my arse off.

Seriously, Randy, I've had loads of fun with this. We all got to know you and your family better and, as a result, I feel like you are now part of my family. You are an excellent spokesman for the tourist trade in your area. You may want to persue something along those lines.

I'm kinda sad to see this close. Hope you have something fun for us for 2012. You have lots of talent.

Here's a toast to you for sticking to this project.

  2. Thank you both for sticking with it for the entire 365 photos. I appreciate all the nice comments, and yours too lightly ;) …but I have to admit it felt pretty good not to photograph anything yesterday. As for 2012, my New Year’s resolution is to whenever possible take the road less traveled. To diverge from the well trodden path of routine and conformity. To chose the unfamiliar over familiar.

  3. I like the "road less traveled" thing myself. That's why everyone thinks I'm weird, including my own family. But, I really don't give a horse pucky what anyone thinks. That's why they call me The Horse Pucky Queen.

  4. taking 365 pictures is the road less traveled, sitting on your butt doing nothing is the road most traveled. So based on this logic you are going to keep us highly entertained this year.

riding goats is just wrong , on so many levels

  5. Outstanding! Simply outstanding. I have sincerely enjoyed your photo journeys this past year. A word of caution though, never attempt this type goal on leap year. It would just drag on too long.

  6. Good advice Marc. I don't think I could have lasted one more day! And thank you very much for clicking through the photos, and leaving your comments along the way :)

  7. How about a photo a week for the next 52 weeks?

  8. this year i also going to do the 365 photos like mr randy.
every day i am going to randomly steal one of randy's photos do a slight photoshop on it and then make it my own.

i will lie at the beginning about the nikon x25 with wide zoom and other crap just to impress the hell out of you people.
i will also from time to time make references to some farm animal which may or may not have any bearing on the photo in question.

  9. lightly...Sounds like a good plan. So when are you going to start this project? Oh yeah, just be sure you don't get arrested for blogging without a license.
